Polycom Phone Display
I am new to Polycom phones and am setting up my first IP-550. Here is a picture of the screen:

Question 1:
How do I fix the display issue with the extension? The extension number is "1111" and the first part of the number gets cut off.
Question 2:
Is there a way to add the Call Lists feature to the main screen? You can see that you have "2 new missed calls" but the only way I can see to access that is by going: Menu -> Features -> Call Lists. It'd be nice if there were an easier way to get to it--preferably by using a soft key on the main screen.
Thanks in advance for your help
The display looks like you are using sip version 2.2.x with 2.1.x configuration files. Update your config files to match the version of software (sip.ld) you loaded on the phone.
You can't change soft keys on a Polycom, you can only turn on/off features that use soft keys and missed calls is not one of them. However if you press the left arrow key to the right of the display you will get what you need. Viola.
It is in the user guide for the Polycom available on the Polycom site.
Thanks guys. I updated the firmware. The display issue is fixed but I don't see the ability to set a bitmap on the main screen for an image. It now just has a clock in that spot.
Does the SIP 3.0 support the ability to have a bmp image inside the box on the main screen like I did on the above screen shot? Or does it only support a full screen 'background' ?
Please refer to http://knowledgebase.polycom.com/kb/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docTy... for loading background logos on earlier firmware versions (pre-3.0)
SIP 3.0 allows "Backgrounds", but will only do a full screen. You can adjust your quota limit, but I haven't played with enough images to control how the image is centered and sized on the display.

Check out the /tftpboot/polycom/bmp/ directory on the server.
That's where the images are held, you can change them to whatever you like if you follow the format that they are in...
sip.cfg is where the image is referenced.
