Polycom Communicator - C100 or C100S

Hello Everyone,

I am looking at getting the C100 or C100S (Skype version). Is one better then the other? Other then dedicated Skype buttons on the C100S, will it work with a softphone? Or would the C100 be better? From what I understand, the C100 will work with Skype.

I use the C100S, but the

I use the C100S, but the difference is the Skype API compared to the C100. Both are essentially the same product.

It should work with most

I forgot to mention we don't have the Vista drivers out yet. I've only used it on XP, on a daily basis, and without complaints.

Dear Mitch,

I have been using the C100S with Skype as well as other soft phone and it works great. Since we went to Vista, I can't use it. It's been a year since your last post, do you have Vista drivers out yet?

Hey Mitch! I just bought a

Hey Mitch! I just bought a C100 to use with x-lite and I cannot find the software for it anywhere. When I plug in the device, x-lite says that software for eyebeam needs to be installed. I tell it yes, but the installation always fails, citing 'certificate has expired'. I have not been able to find the driver as a stand-alone package. How can I get this puppy up and running?

Great question Steve. I've got five C100S and am dire need of the Vista drivers/software.

What do you say Mitch? Any joy yet? I'll be GLAD to beta test them for you...
