Are there any changes to the standard trixbox installation that need to be made for a ceros? Apart from the lcd.

We are having call quality issues and I'm wonderinf if there are kernel parameters or anything else that should be passed.

Thanks

The Ceros install does 3

The Ceros install does 3 things.

1. Adds LCD
2. Adds Rhino and Ceros Drivers
3. Adds Rhino Graphics

There are some minor tweaks and bug fixes.

On the Red Ceros we remove acpi=off and add irqpoll
On the Black Ceros we remove ACPI=off and add noapic

We are going away from CD respins and will soon go to a kickstart system where you may use our altered kickstarts with native ISOS. We hope to have this released within the next month if not sooner it is in its final stage of testing.

Thanks for answer. I have

Thanks for answer. I have tried both acpi options.

I have not heard of irqpoll before and don't see much on google about it.

What does it do?
Is it only necessary for specific kernel(s)? If so which ones?

For the record my kernel is 2.6.18-53.1.4.el5 #1 SMP

Thanks

I am trying to install a fresh copy of Trixbox 2.6.1.10 on my red Ceros box. I opened it up and put in an old IDE cd-rom drive and I can complete the installation. However, when booting up, I get to a point where it says:

starting udev: disabling irq #11

Then it freezes up.

Any thoughts?
