7960 can't recieve calls

I recently moved from a trixbox that I had local here to one that is hosted in a datacenter.

I have a mix of Grandstream and Cisco 7960 phones. No issues with the GS.

On the Cisco phones, they can make calls but they can't recieve calls at all.

In the FreePBX extensions menu, with qualify=yes, the phone shows as "UNREACHABLE" in sip show peers, and dialing the extension goes straight to voicemail. With qualify=no, it shows "unmonitored", and dialing the extension rings a few times, then goes to voicemail, but the phone never actually rings.

I have tried firmware 5.x, 6.x, and 8.x, and am currently on 8.8.

I have tried with nat_enable set to both "1" and "0" in SIP_Default, same both ways. (also nat_recieved processing)

I have tried with both nat=yes and nat=no in the freebpx extension menu.

Anyone have any ideas?

settings

go into the setting menu of the phone and make sure nat is setup correctly. The was a bug at one time in the endpoint manager that was not updating the "nat" setting through the tftp server.

Checked settings, it was set

Checked settings, it was set correctly.

IT IS FIXED THOUGH!:

I changed voip_control_port to "5060" instead of the default of "5061" In SIPDefault and that fixed it right up!

I think it may have been a problem with the SIP ALG on my juniper not liking 5061.

Cool, I find few people who like SceenOS, I swear by it. We use a bunch of Cisco at the customer premise at our POP we have a pair of NS-500's in HA mode.

I have not tried the SIP ALG.

We never have a problem with them:

Up time: 474 days 21:04:51, System time: 2008-07-28 15:59:10 GMT Time Zone -5:00

We are running -

Firmware Version: 5.2.0r2.0 (Firewall+VPN)

well, i may have been a bit

well, i may have been a bit premature. The phones register now but they only stay that way for about 5 minutes, then they disappear again and can only make outgoing calls.

back to the drawing board.

Why don't you stop

Why don't you stop struggling and put another 5GT in and run a VPN tunnel? It will also make it easy to assign a service policy to the tunnel interface for QoS.

I just took a look you can find NS 5GT BIN on eBay for under $150.00 shipped.

Id like to, I have a bunch

Id like to, I have a bunch of xts, gts, and ssgs lying around.... Issue is though - its a hosted asterisk-in-a-box type place, I don't have the flexibility to modify the network architecture thats in place, or modify much of anything in that regard. Ive got the grandstreams working fine, Its the principle as much as anything else at this point to get the Ciscos working in the same manner.
