Running Trixbox 2.2.3 CE and need to install wanpipe drivers for Sangoma a101D
I recently purchased a Sangoma A101D T1 Card with echo cancellation. I have been doing some research on what I need to do. Apparently our version of Trixbox is a bit old and Sangoma doesn't have the wanpipe drivers for our build. I am to understand that my only options are to upgrade Trixbox to a version that Sangoma has drivers for or to install from source.
Currently a uname -a provides the following:
[supervisor@TrixPrimary1 ~]# uname -a
Linux TrixPrimary1.local 2.6.9-34.0.2.ELsmp #1 SMP Fri Jul 7 19:52:49 CDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
An rpm -qa | grep zaptel provides the following:
[supervisor@TrixPrimary1 ~]# rpm -qa | grep zaptel
zaptel-modules-2.6.9-34.0.2.ELsmp-1.2.19-1_SMP
zaptel-1.2.19-1
zaptel-modules-2.6.9-34.0.2.EL-1.2.19-1
Reading the FreePBX info pages I see that we are running:
Trixbox version 2.2.3 CE
Centos 4.5
Asterisk 1.2.22 Kernel Version 2.6.9-34.0.2.ELsmp
Running on an Intel Quad Core 3.4ghz SuperMicro board with 4gigs of ram.
** We are also licensed for 60 Digium G729a licenses that are currently installed.
** Running Xlite softphones and Grandstream Hard IP Phones.
This box is a production box that has been running flawlessly for about a year now and ONLY has VOIP trunks setup (sip and iax2). We purchased this card to utilize a T1 that we already have. So the bottom line is that we have a system working really well and would like to just pop the card in, configure wanpipe.. connect to our T1, define our channels and be done. However, as mentioned above, it seems that this isn't going to be the case.
Can someone enlighten me on the best approach to this, keeping in mind that this is a production machine that works well and would like to be able to do a little "invasive" work as to not cause reliability/sound quality problems.
and as a stupid question... when they say install from source... are we referring to installing the wanpipe drivers based on the source drivers already installed on the machine... specifically are we talking about the existing trixbox drivers in general or Zaptel to be specific. It is also worth noting that I believe I installed zaptel in the early development stages as a timing device (I think... something about ztdummy rings a bell... and I used an analog card as well.. but thats the only zaptel stuff we use)
Also, I do have Acronis images of the machine that work so if I tinker, I can always revert so I have no issues with experimenting. I do however have issues with trying to deploy something that will break existing functions in our environment. The following are some things we currently deploy:
1. g729a
2. voip trunks (sip/iax2) (at least 4 providers defined and setup)
3. xlite softphones
4. grandstream hard IP phones
5. about 60 extensions
6. IVR
7. voice mail, custom greetings..
8. Transfer calls
9. custom applications (call monitoring using spychan I think)
Anyway, anything would be appreciated regarding a recommended approach and any detail.
Thanks

Not entirely sure, but you may want to look at this http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-asterisk-trixbox-rpms
If all you want to do is install wanpipe* and setup the sangoma card, then that should be okay for you.
Regarding the last part - I haven't got a clue. I'm kinda new to all this, and that site helped me.
Hi,
When we build the RPM's for a our stable drivers we compile with the version of Zaptel on the system, so for this reason you must have the correct trixbox version with the default zaptel or the zaptel version we compiled with. You can go to http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-asterisk-trixbox-rpms#fstinall to see the matrix i am referring to.
Our Beta drivers are the same thing except we compile with Asterisk as well, so you need to insure your setup has the default versions for the trixbox version you are getting RPM's for. So if you do any updates then there will be issues with the RPM's. Also for our beta drivers the RPM matrix can be found at http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-asterisk-trixbox-rpms#BRI-HWDTMF.
If you do not have a trixbox version that we have RPM's for or you have upgraded your zaptel/asterisk then you will have to install from source. This means compile zaptel and our drivers from the source code on your system. For instructions please go to http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-asterisk-trixbox-rpms#drivfrmsour....
