outside calls to a200 via Ivr are transfered to the wrong extension
Hello,
using tb with sangoma a200 6fxo and echo cancel.
I narrowed it down that when someone calls into my tb from a GSM cel phone and he presses 101 to talk to the secretary at this number he almost always gets transfered to extension 110.
I think the tb sees the tone 1 twice and dials 110.
Anybody know where to tweak the settings to get a200 to recognize the tones correctly?
Thanks
Edward
Hi Edward,
Does this happen only with a GSM cell phone? Have you tried more then one GSM cell phone? Also is there noise on the line? Have you tried going into other IVR's and testing the if the DTMF works from these cell phones? Is there noise on the line well this is happening?
To tweak this you can enable "relaxdtmf=yes" in /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf, after doing this insure you restart Asterisk.
If this does not improve the DTMF then please upgrade to our Beta driver which can be found at http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-asterisk-trixbox-rpms#BRI-HWDTMF, also insure you remove the old driver with the instructions at http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-asterisk-trixbox-rpms#updateRPMS. The Beta driver will enable the hardware DTMF feature (you will have to run "setup-sangoma" again) which is more reliable then Asterisk DTMF detection.
If these two suggestions do not work then please send me the following information along with the answer to the questions to techdesk@sangoma.com, also please insure you reference this post.
-the output from "wanrouter version"
-the output from "wanrouter restart" (asterisk needs to be turned off for this so it may need to be done after hours)
-the file /var/log/messages (the entire file containing a wanrouter restart)
-the output from "wanrouter hwprobe verbose"
-the output from “wanrouter status”
-the file(s) /etc/wanpipe/wanpipeX.conf (where X is the wanpipe number)
-the file /etc/zaptel.conf
-the file(s) /etc/asterisk/zapata*.conf
-the output from "ifconfig", (re run a couple of times with a second or so delay in between each run)
-the output from "cat /proc/interrupts" (re run a couple of times with a second or so delay in between each run)

Thanks for your reply.
Yes it happens from many different Cel phones. It happens with regular pstn line too, but not that often.
It does not happen on my other systems which use Digium cards.
Since this is a live system I will need to plan it for nighttime. Will get back to you over the weekend.
rgds,

I have had a similar issue with generating DTMF tones from my GSM iPhone to our PRI A101DE interface. I have not tried relaxdtmf=yes yet, but will be tonight. The IVR was not recognizing extensions or double dialing numbers pressed.
Will the hardware DTMF feature make an affect on FXS DTMF detection? I have a mail franking machine hooked up to an A400 / FXS module, and when it dials, it is missing the first couple of digits because it dials too fast. (Inconsistent number, have tried using a prefix pause with no luck. An HP fax machine on the same line works fine but dials at a much slower rate.)
