Remote Auto Discovery

Has anyone gotten the 57i to do remote auto discovery?
I just got the phone today and have setup and installed everything I need (I think) in tb.
When I boot the phone it shows local or remote, when I press remote it then asks me for the server ip address which I put in, when I press done, it then asks me for the HTTPS Port number (I have no idea what the port number is). If it is using TFTP why would I need a HTTPS port?

Sorry for the dumb questions!!

How do I get the XML scripts working on a remote phone? is it even possible to do?

So what did you end up doing to get the remote phone with scripting working? I'm looking at deploying a 57i at our CEO's house and would like to do something similar. Any information you could provide would be great.

I have been out of country.
All I had to do is open my router to the trixbox and give my 57i the ip address of the box.
all works fine now.
