Hi,

Probably a question for the Aastra guys.

What is the PoE Class that the Aastra handsets report at and what is the actual power drain, we are running out of power on some of our PoE switches.

Thanks Justin

All the phones (that support

All the phones (that support PoE) advertise themselves as class 0 devices, but the power usage varies per model. The figures below, is the maximum power usage under worst case scenarios.

Phone Power Usage
9112i 4W
9133i 4W
480i 4.5W
480iCT 5W
51i 3.5W
53i 4W
55i 5W
57i 5.5W
57iCT 5.7W

If you've got expansion consoles connected to the phones, then you need to add in power usage for each console. The table below shows the power usage of individual consoles, so you need to multiple it by the number of consoles you have and then add it the phone model number above.

536M Console 0.3W
560M Console 2.2W

Sorry, but I don't have figures for the 9143i, 9480i or 9480iCT. However they should be roughly the same as the 9133i, 480i and 480iCT respectively.
