Aastra 480i APPLICATION NOT FOUND

Hi there, It seems like I am having a problem with my 480i ip phone. I have everything pugged in right and all I get when I plug the power in is:
APPLICATION NOT FOUND
To restore, go to recovery web page
Recovery Web page at: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
The X's are the ip address numbers
I was unable to get into the screen where it tries to grab an ip from the DHCP. I tried to get into that web site by typing the ip in my url in internet explorer with both the phone and my laptop connected into the same network but it seems like I am unable to access the site, said the site does not exist. Am i going the wrong way to fix this?
I searched around the forums hoping to find an answer before I post this and noticed someone else had the same problem, he somehow was able to get into the recovery web page but when trying to upload the firmware into the phone from the firmware file he downloaded, it failed.
But before I get ahead of myself, how would be able to get into the recovery web page and if I do get inside, what should I do? thank you for your time

somehow you have corrupted the load on your phone. eg if you lose power on the phone while it is upgrading the firmware. you need to get to the web recovery page.
To get to the web recovery page ensure you are on the same network (one with dhcp) as the phone and point your web browser to the IP of the phone. and then load the new image.
If you cannot get to the web recovery, then the recovery sector is also corrupt and the phone needs to be reflashed at manufacturing... the phone is effectively "bricked". you should probably contact you reseller in this scenario. I'm not quite certain what options are available. But hopefully web recovery will work for you. FYI the web recovery image is not updated during a firmware upgrade, so generally web recovery should work.
