Outgoing line selection with Trixbox

Let me ask this as a separate topic, I am pretty sure that many people would like to know.
Using Trixbox GUI (management WEB interface) is it possible to select which line will be used to dial out calls?
To stir things up. I have two regular FXO lines and (Vonage) VoIP feed coming in next day or two. Since Vonage subscription has 500 minutes included I would prefer dialing out on that line, but flexibility in selecting is desirable.

Thanks in advance,
Zack

There are ways to hack this

There are ways to hack this but they would untrix your box so I can't recommend the to a new user. You would have to do all your updates by hand.

Seems to me like you are doing things the hard way. Why would you not subscribe to a Voip provider that allows multiple lines on a single registration? Most are significantly less than two Vonage lines.

In the outbound route

In the outbound route screen, you can select the order of outbound trunks.
Also, you can configure different dial prefixes to select outgoing trunk, so the user can choose outgoing line on dial.
Out of the box, trixbox can't use up 500 vonage minutes and automatically switch to different trunk afterwards...

Thanks for

Thanks for answers.
SkykingOH whom can you recommend instead of Vonage, can you name 2 of the providers?
I don't want to do anything hard way. I had hard time so far to get things operational and I don't wont to spoil that. I don't know how to do line programming in Linux and all I can do is things I can set in trixbox GUI.
I am attracted to Vonage for 3 reasons:

* trixbox setup already indicates a Vonage as one of the pre-set VoIP providers
* I already have one account with Vonage and things are functioning pretty well.
* 10 bucks for 500 any minutes sounds reasonable to me for soft phone service

Vitelity

Vitelity allows four channels on one account. I have used them for years with no real issues.

you can create a custom

you can create a custom context in extensions_custom.conf and there'd be some programming involved.. but it's doable.

have the context check the total minutes out on the trunk from the 1st of the billing cycle to current and if it => 499 then Goto(Some-Other-Context-To-Dial-Out) else use vonage trunk.

Pseudo code, but doable.

if that makes sense.

Thanks for answers. We'll look into that. I am not keen of doing or changing scripts but it might be a good idea.
Will check Vitelity as well.
