No ring on analog phone connected to Digium TDM410P
I originally sent this posting directly to Digium but I have not received any replies.
I have a Digium TDM410P card installed in the latest version of trixbox CE. It is configured 2 x FXS and 2 x FXO. I have an analog phone plugged into P1. If I pick up the handset, I have dial tone. I can make calls on it. However, if I dial the phone from another extension it doesn’t ring. If I pick up the handset (whilst still being rung) the call connects. The same goes for P2 as well.
I am hoping that someone may have experienced this problem before and has a solution. I am not sure where to start looking for what the problem might be. Can you help??
Thanks and regards

Thanks for your suggestion for checking the voltages on the RJ11 ports. I have done so. I certainly get a change in the voltage when I ring the extension but not the values that I was expecting.
Anyway, I know that the phone rings when it is plugged straight into a BT socket. My thought then was that there might be something wrong with my BT431 to RJ11 adapter. I spent ages looking for articles on the pinouts of the various sockets and pretty much drew a blank.
Then I came across a BT431 to RJ11 with “added capacitor” to convert a US RJ11 to a UK BT socket to enable the phone to ring.
I have two on order. I am waiting impatiently for them to arrive hoping that they will solve the problem.
