Linksys WIP330 - What am i missing?

Thanks to everyone for their support and patients with me thus far, i really appreciate it.

I have been struggling with a WIP330 for the better part of the day and repeated searches both in this forum and the web in general make this sound like a trivial matter but so far I have not been able to get the unit to register with my Trixbox.
It is on the wireless network, I can ping it's IP and use the built in web browser but it's status is always "Not Ready"I have set the Proxy IP, Register Proxy IP and the Outbound Proxy IP to the address of my server and left everything else as default.Set the phone number and username to the extension number and filled in the password but the registration fails. If I use the same information in X-lite it works. How can i possibly be botching something so seemingly trivial?

Changed the default port numbers to 5060 and now it works like a charm
