Can't park call after incomplete transfer

Here's what they (clients) have: trixbox 2.2, Aastra 480i phones.

Operator answers a call, speaks to Caller. Hits Transfer, then extension number to President's extension. President doesn't answer phone in the first ring or three, so Operator hits the Line button to retrieve the call (before it goes to voicemail). She retrieves the call successfully and tells the client that she will locate President. Operator then attempts to Park the call (softkey set to "asterisk;70", but nothing happens--no confirmation of park location, and Caller is still there.

Why can't the Operator Park the call after retrieving it from Transfer?

Anyone? Is it due to the "control" of the call being handed off the the President's extension, making it impossible for the Operator to do anything with the call once she retrieves it after an incomplete transfer?

lancekoster,

lancekoster,

The problem in this post is on tb 2.2. The link you gave references a 2.4 problem (which I also have, on a different system--can manually dial "##70#" to get the parking lot number read back, but using the Park softkey (type: park / value:asterisk;70 #) will park the call but not read back the parking lot location. But thanks!

I fixed the above problem (or figured out a way to do it):

Secretary answers call, hits Xfer, then dials extension number for President (or uses softkey). Caller is placed on hold, while President's phone rings:

Scenario 1) If Secretary pushes blinking L1 call appearance button (Aastra 480i) while President's phone is ringing, she aborts the call to President, and is back on the line with the Caller. She can then do whatever she wants with the call.

Scenario 2) Secretary waits until President's VM answers, but doesn't want to put caller in VM: Secretary presses "Drop" softkey to disconnect with President's VM, then presses the blinking call appearance button (usually L1) to reconnect with caller. Secretary can then do whatever she wants with the call.

I hope this helps someone else!
