Virtual modem to sip ?
Has anyone ever come accross a Virtual modem to sip program. I need a windows based program to create a virtual com port and emulate a modem then send it to trixbox via sip or IAX. This is for out click to talk software which currently uses a modem connected to a POTS line. Thanks
Isn't the click to dial application just sending ATDT 'dial string' to the modem?
It would be so much easier to write an application that listens on a virtual com port and the uses Asterisk Manager Interface commands to make the call.
You also know you can send 'dial files' to a specific directory with Asterisk and it will dial that number on your phone for you. You can share that directory with Samba and access it on the windows machine.
Why don't you tell us more about the application you are trying to use to dial. I am assuming it is a legacy app.
Put together a short scope of work and post it with a bounty. You may be surprised at how quick someone takes the offer.
There is a sticky in the forum on how to post bounties.
