NXTVOX Analog cards

Has anyone tried these?
What seems to be wrong here?
What about light usage?
This is a home install.
I would get a 4 port 2fxs/2fxo card with olsec.
The computer is fast enough (3ghz) and has a lot of ram(1.5gb).
We use VOIP for all outgoing calls, so this card would mainly only handle being an FXS gateway to the legacy merlin system, as well as handling incoming call routing.
We have a sipura spa2k being fxs now with a x100p, but id like to expand to the other lines on the merlin system.
thanks!
A couple notes:
No support
No Phone number on the site anywhere.
address listed as a blip!
this screams fly by night.
Also ODD no mention on google except their own press releases.
I would suggest ebay for really cheap you will be in the same position of no support and buyer beware but you get some protections from ebay and buyer feedback which is more than you appear get from these guys.
The 8 port card does not yet exist. It will require a special driver - like the zapMicro board
In fact, I really believe that these are the same guys as I've been 'working' with at zapMicro.
The specs on the 8 port are 'still being worked out'. Supposedly the 4 port is shipping.
The two online guys I spoke with were Andrew and Chreeze - at zapMicro they were/are Andrew and Chris.
When I asked if this was the same card as the zma800p (the zapMicro 8 port), there was a huge pause before he came back with a 'No.'
Buyer beware.

I don't know all the details on the TigerJet problems. Digium doesn't use it anymore for their newer cards so that should tell you something.. There are a few things I believe. Compatibility problems, IRQ problems you touched on, for multiple FXO/FXS ports used at the same time it doesn't share the IRQ in an elegant real time way (I believe Rhino referred to it as bit banging).
so basically, the only drawback on this card really refers to tb 2.2 and prior versions.
2.4 shouldnt really have any problems.
*assuming its tigerjet, which it probably is because I was contacted by a company in China offering me similiar pricing (in bulk only) and theirs was based on tigerjet.
These cards are based on the TigerJet chipset but do not suffer the same issues as the reference design Digium used. You should try em out. Contact me brian.west@mac.com and I'll see if I can get Kerry and the gang some cards to play with. btw they work great with FreeSWITCH via OpenZAP.

I was going to buy a 4 port card just to see if my zapmicro card is defective or just useless.
It turns out the company wants $25 to ship 1 unit to NJ.
So my $50 purchase (I have the FXO/FXS ports already) becomes a $75 purchase.
So, to my mind, the shipping costs are just a wee bit aggressive.
Anyone have a cheaper shipping source or solution?
Andrew
I am a distributor for Openvox, sell to a bunch of people here in this forum, do my best for initial support if there is a problem, and if Openvox support is needed, I make sure that my customers are satisfied. These 4 port cards do have the tigerjet chipset, but work fine with the latest version of trixbox. I have a store and also sell a ton on ebay, but for my friends here (most on a budget) I give even a better deal to. If you want to check out my reputation, maybe one of my many customers here will speak up, or search for Openvox on ebay and my name is huebs73 from O'fallon, Mo. I have a ton of listings and a ton of good feedback. PM me for some great "fellow trixer" pricing.
Well, I purchased an OpenVox 4 port analog card from huebs73.
After several pre-purchase emails and questions (including the offer of a money back (except shipping) guarantee) I pulled the trigger and paypal'd the money.
Card arrived a few days later and I dropped it in.
Everything SHOULD be identical to my old zapMicro 8 port card except for fewer ports.
But it's not.
The old card gave me dropped sound mid-call , a hiss that OSLEC never made go away, etc. Also when the system was rebooted, I would often not get dialtone on the phones - creating the need to reboot or remove and reload components by hand - not what I want from a phone.
Sound quality is near perfect, card performance (reboots, etc.) has been flawless.
Anyone want to buy a slightly used zma800p? I'll only sell it for use to someone I DON'T like.
Anyone I do like, I'll point over to huebs73 for an OpenVox card.

I had considered this (and will do it).
For $108 delivered, I gained the ability to test all of the various options (including having to consider both the phone line and the installed computer to be the culprit).
I will be moving the FXS/FXO ports from the zapMicro card over to add a second phone line. Hopefully that will work without error.
Frankly, the zapMicro card and the ports I purchased with it may be completely fine. Given that I 'broke' trixbox to use the zapMicro card (recompile zaptel and add the zma8xx driver) I'm now in better shape since I can do a yum -y update and not kill my system by default.
Hopefully the ports are okay; hopefully the card is okay. Ebay here I come.
Anybody here want to make a bid before I have my niece sell the card (she loves running auctions)?

If you were responding to me, The ZapMico is an 8 port card, but mine is presently blank (the ports went into my OpenVox card).
You can price out the FXO/FXS modules yourself.
Send me a PM if you want to make an offer on the card. It's still sitting on top of the server.
