Greetings all,

I'm in a Polycom 650 environment, with an Aastra 57i around for testing. Some of my users are asking if there is a way to see how many VMs they have waiting just by glancing at the phone.

First of all, is there a trivial way to do this that I'm missing?

If not, I've been toying with the idea of developing an 'idle' XML page that displays information at the extension level. Right now I have this working on a site-wide basis, but bringing it down to the phone level would let me have a refreshed page showing who's in a queue, how may VMs are waiting, day night mode, who's parked... etc.

That said, most of the above information isn't unique like the waiting VMs are, and generating a page for every extension every few seconds seems like a lot of work for what I want to do.

I know I could get the VM information via Manager, but is there a better way?

Thanks!
George

aastra

All aastra phones do this by default. To get a polycom to do it you would need a custom xml screen.
