Magic Button Public Beta
In one week or less, I will be opening up the Magic Button to beta users. If you are interested in becoming a beta user, please email at ethan dot schroeder at schmoozecom dot com. The beta program will work as follows:
- 50 users from the community will be allowed into the beta program. This is in addition to others that have already been allowed in.
- The beta program will last between 45 and 60 days
- You must have your own LumenVox licenses for the beta. A developer license will work fine.
- You must install LumenVox on your PBX and verify that it is functioning properly. LumenVox offers free installation support. I do not.
- You must be capable and willing to install non-released FreePBX modules to configure the speech engine
Once again, if you are interested, please email me right away as the number of participants in the beta program will be limited
You must have your own LumenVox licenses for the beta. A developer license will work fine.
If you can provide me with a link to the exact product I would need then I would love to test this out. I am a single user currently so that is all I would require
Thanks in advance!
The $50 developer license will suffice:

Please note, however, this is not an expandable license, so if you are looking at using this in a production setting where you need more than one port, you should think about one of the other licensing options.
We've had numerous requests to develop Russian-based speech applications, but unfortunately the engine doesn't support Russian at this time. In order for Lumenvox to develop new languages, they need a large project (ie. purchasing a significant number of licenses to justify development).
As far as cost goes, see this:

One beta spot remains, so if you are interested, email me right away. I will be gone this weekend, so I will most likely get the beta out to everyone Sunday evening.

For those participating in the beta program, here is a comprehensive list of commands:
For reference below: "Ethan Schroeder" is an extension setup in FreePBX as part of the speech commands using a custom module. For accuracy it is recommended you use a users firstname and last name. 555-5555 is a telephone number - any 7, 10, or 11 digit number. "Extension 1001" is an extension number and can be said as "Extension one-zero-zero-one" or "Extensions one-thousand-one". There are variants of the below voice commands, but the permutations would be too exhaustive to list here.
The first thing you should do is say "Play introduction". You can also say "What can I say?" if you forget commands.
Call Ethan Schroeder
Call Extension 1001
Call 555-5555
Intercom Ethan Schroeder
Intercom Extension 1001
Transfer to Ethan Schroeder
Transfer to Extension 1001
Transfer to 555-5555
Transfer to Ethan Schroeder's Voicemail
Transfer to Extension 1001's voicemail
Park caller
Retrieve parked calls
Retrieve call 71
Conference in Ethan Schroeder
Conference in 555-5555
Conference in extension 1001
What groups can I call?
What groups can I page?
What voicemail blast groups are there?
For the following commands to work, you need to setup grammars in the Paging, Ring Groups, and Voicemail Blast Groups modules:
Call group customer service
Page warehouse
Leave a message for group sales
Set my home number to 555-5555
Set my cell phone number to 555-5555
Forward my calls to home
Forward my calls to my cell phone
Forward my calls to 555-5555
Cancel call forwarding
Enable Do Not Disturb
Disable Do Not Disturb
I'm away
I'm at lunch
I'm in a meeting
I'm out of town
I'm back
Where is Ethan Schroeder?
What time is it?
What is the date?
What is the weather like?
Import my exchange contacts (requires setup of each user via command line)
Check messages
- While checking voicemails you can listen to messages, move messages, delete messages and fast-forward and rewind messages using your voice. The system will explain your options to you dynamically
Leave a message for Ethan Schroeder
Record my name
Record my temporary away message
Remove my temporary away message
Beta users: feel free to play around with natural variations of commands. You may find some of them work already. Please provide feedback on natural ways you think a user should be able to speak commands.
I will be providing all the necessary components in an email (FreePBX modules, RPMS, installer, etc). It is tested on Asterisk 1.2 and Asterisk 1.4 (latest Trixbox release). I'm still working through all the testing on the latest Trixbox, but so far everything seems to be working great. You may find some issues, but throughout the beta program I will release updates.
Weekend project for everyone: make sure your Lumenvox installation is working and you have confirmed that it actually recognized voice commands in the test applications provided with the engine. That will make the process a lot smoother when you receive the installation files.

Trixbox management folk. I can give you the entire dependency tree for LumenVoxSRE for your yum repository so users don't have these problems in the future.
Common LumenVox Installation Troubleshooting Tips:
make sure you chown asterisk:asterisk /usr/lib/asterisk/modules/res_speech_lumenvox.so
make sure you have load => res_speech.so in your /etc/asterisk/modules.conf
You may need to create a /etc/ld.so.conf.d/lumenvox.conf file with the following inside it:/opt/lumenvox/engine/lib then run ldconfig
After doing the above, you may need to amportal stop, service lvdaemon restart, amportal start. If LumenVox loads, you will see it load in /var/log/asterisk/full. If you don't see anything for lumenvox in there, most likely you need to perform the above, the same if it errors out.
Andrew - libicu in the trixbox repo seems to be corrupt, the one below is 5.4mb, the one in the repo is somewhere around 1.5mb, and fails to extract a file.
