Hi,
I would to know if anyone has used ASUS P5K3 for TB installation. It should serve 50 concurrent users 24/7 with a E1 connection.

Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™2 Extreme QX9650 (4 X 3 GHz) 1333MHz FSB/12MB L2 Cache
Memory (RAM) 4GB CORSAIR XMS3 DDR3 1066MHz - LIFETIME WARRANTY
Motherboard ASUS® P5K3 DELUXE/WiFi: DUAL DDR3, S-ATA II,2 x x16 VGA, 3 x PCI
Graphics Card 768MB GEFORCE 8800 ULTRA PCI Express + DVI + TV-OUT
USB Options 8 x USB 2.0 PORTS (6 REAR + 2 FRONT) AS STANDARD
Memory - 1st Hard Disk 150GB WD Raptor® X Clear Cover SATA 16MB CACHE (10000rpm)
2nd Hard Disk 150GB WD Raptor® X Clear Cover SATA 16MB CACHE (10000rpm)

I would like to know:
1.If there are any installation issues with ASUS P5K3 like onboard NIC not being detected and any graphic card issues with GEFORCE 8800?
2.Maximum number of users this machine can support?
3.should i get any cards for echo cancellation? please suggest any card if needed with
Model No.

This is VOIP only setup. I think Onboard NICs should be fine for making/receiving calls.
please let me know if anything else is needed to tuneup this setup.

I would stay far away from

I would stay far away from that system - it sounds like video gamer delight - good for video game = no good for asterisk.

That is overkill x 100000 for 50 users, a simple Pentium D 2.x ghz would probably work fine - or an e6600 if you want to make sure its overdone.

Geforce 8800 - most likely only going to add unwanted heat inside your server - find the smallest video card you can as it will never be used, or use onboard.

if you like asus, that is fine, but some of them dont work, some do - it seems 95% of the Supermicro systems work. Use search button:
http://www.trixbox.org/search/node/asus = what works and what doesnt.

recommend you get echo cancelation, but it seems like a few people are having good luck with new 2.4 release and software echo canceler (OSLEC). But the Sangoma A102D would be the best card you can get for dual T1/E1 with hardware echo canceler, and whats better is they make a PCI express version (sounds like your board is pretty "gamey" and aint got 32 bit PCI).

the lan - if the onboard works with centos then you are set - the new 2.4 version adds a lot more compatibility, but I am still finding some that it does NOT work with = you must hand compile LAN driver.

So search, find a board that works (supermicro is better), drop a pair of sata drives in (onboard raid cards do NOT work) use the command "sataraid" from the trixbox boot cd to setup software raid, or get an adaptec/3ware/LSI hardware raid card + 1 or 2gb ram and you are set.
