Hi,

I'm new here and to asterisk also, just need help on how to configure asterisk to accept a common username and secret.

Ex.
Extension: 100 Username: test Secret: test
Extension: 200 Username:test Secret: test

Hoping the guru's here can point me to the right direction, thank you very much in advance.

In FreePBX and Asterisk talk

In FreePBX and Asterisk talk the username is the extension number (there are other ways to do this however this is the simplest way).

The secret is simply whatever you set the secret to in the sip extension config.

If you aren't using trixbox just look in sip.conf there are sip peer examples.
