HUDlite 3 ?

HI there,

Does anyone know when the HUDlite 3 will be available?? I can't roll out the current version to the company due to the privacy issue (extension). Does anyone know how to make the HUDlite NOT to load the extension or mask the phone number besides modifying or removing the users.xml file ?

The only way to remove an extension from HUDlite is to remove it from users.xml. The new HUD will be out soon. For now if you need permissions you can use HUDpro.

Another alternative

Take a look at www.astassitant.com this freeware allows you to define custom extension lists per users and password protect the configuration.

It may do the trick for you.

HUD Pro and Astassitant

I thought the the permissions settings on HUDpro is only available in TrixBox Pro EE and CCE BUT NOT TrixBox CE ?

HI Skyking,

I have tried the astassistant and setup the manager settings on trixbox. It's connected to the trixbox but i couldn't dial any phone calls at all but it shows all the extensions that i have defined. Do you know why i couldn't make any phone calls or if i just missed some configurations ??

What happens when you dial the call, does it not dial or dial the wrong number?

Have you associated it with your extension and set the outbound dialing prefix and context (from-internal)?

there's a pop-up saying "outgoing call, Tester and the extension number" when i clicked "call" .....

Yes, I have associated it with my extension and set 9 as the dial prefix and default as the dialing context.

The context must be 'from-internal'

Your phone should ring when you dial the, pick it up and you will be connected to the called party.

If this is not what is happening you need to watch the Asterisk CLI and see what is going on with the debug when you try and dial.

It works fine!
