How to backup v2.2 and upgrade to v2.6x

Hello all my company currently runs Trixbox v2.2 and we are looking to migrate to v2.6.
Can anyone point me to posts in the forum on how to go about backing up our system so that it can be restored onto a fresh installation of Trixbox v2.6?
If there are no pre-existing posts perhaps someone would be kind enough to post instructions on the how to go about doing the backup/restore/upgrade.
