cannot contact bootserver <mac>.cfg! error

Hello trixbox,

Im a total newbie in linux and asterisk.. i do have a IP501 with errors cannot contact boot server and the mac.cfg error pls need help i heard i have to upgrade the bootserver and the sip but i don't know how to pls... need help T_T

If you only have the one to program I would either program using the phones interface or by logging on to the phone's web interface (from your browser).

Additionally I would suggest downloading the Administrators Guide at the Polycom web site for the version of firmware your phone has loaded on it.

hi scott!

ive already download those bootROM and sip and in the bootrom is contains the following

2201-06642-001.bootrom.ld
2345-11300-010.bootrom.ld
etc...

while the sip contains the following...

sip.cfg
phone1.cfg
sip.ld
000000000000.cfg

but i don't know where to put this in the server! im sorry but im totally newbie in both linux and trxibox

Both the Sureteq and the trixbox without tears guides explain how to use the tftp server. I suggest reading them and the administrators guide I suggested.
