Help with ooh323 extension

Hello

I´m having problems for setting up an h.323 extension on my trixbox.

I´m using Trixboxce 2.6.1.0 and I just want to configure an h323 extension using ooh323
I was sucefull on installing ooh323 package following the instuctions at this same forum.
But I could not make an extension that I configured on the ooh323.conf file to call other h323 or sip extension.
I don´t use a gatekeeper (I coundn´t understand how it works either) and I want just to make it works, configuring the file from the start.

I waste ages on this forum searching for the solution and I coudn´t find something that really fits.

Please, If someone could do that help me!

Is there really the need of a new device?

I just want to make a call with my h.323 softphone(EPhony) to my sip softphone (X-Lite), and the h323 extension use the same call routes that my sip extension does.

From my EPhony I can call "SIP Extension Number"@"Trixbox server address", but I don´t want to need writing all that stuff. I want to call just my Sip extension Number without any IP adress, or another number that obbey my outbound routes rules. I just couldn´t call my h323 extension with the SIP Phone.

I´ve downloaded the gnu gatekeeper recently, but i don´t know how to use it either.

To be able to dial a SIP number without the asterisk IP address, you really do need a gatekeeper.
GNU gatekeeper is a goodie, study it's documentation.
Beware: when you use an external gatekeeper, ooh323 will die when the gatekeeper isn't reachable or not running....

But one question still last... Without a gatekeeper can´t I complete a SIP-H.323 call?

To do calls from SIP to H323, add the h323 device as a custum extension to trixbox.
Example to put into the custom dial string in trixbox extension setup:
OOH323/1234@a.b.c.d
where a.b.c.d is the h323 device fixed IP address

Thanks a lot!

I could make the h323 phone ring when I use the sip phone with this configuration!

But when I answer the call it drops on the h323 phone and the sip phone continue to ring!

What it could be?
