2.6.1 RC3
It's taken a little longer than expected to roll up a bunch of changes that are in this build. Hopefully there won't be much else. Other than one trivial issue with the bulk importer we are on a code freeze and are only fixing bugs prior to rolling this out as final.

So I wont be able to go from Beta to Stable, once it's released?
How hard is it to do a backup (I've already done) and restore it into this new version? Also will there be a upgrade path from current stable to this new one once it's released? I figure I might as well do a re install as call parking keeps crashing my box and I think I made a mess installing the sccp in the first place.
I've seen a few, I my self have been working to get it going for the past few weeks. There's far more features in the SCCP Firmware than there are in the SIP. Looking at the search although a lot of the recent ones are mine there's a good amount of people asking where SCCP support went and if there's going to be any. The SIP Firmware just doesnt do the Cisco Phones justice such as soft feature buttons like call parking and DND, ect.. Also I'm not sure but I thought some of the Cisco Phones only ran on SCCP?
In any event i've seen a decent amount of people who would want to use SCCP over SIP if it was available if you'd like I can find the topics.
Here's a few:

There's a request for out of box support for SCCP with Trixbox CE 3

SCCP Missing as of November last post in April Looking for it.

This persons running it trying to get it to work
ect... there's far more topics on it too. It seems like its something people want although it may be "low" compared to other features I'm sure if it was implemented far more people would want to use it over having to be pestered with flashing the SIP Firmware to their cisco phones. There's no reason for sccp-b not to be supported atleast in the package manager is there? It seems "easy" enough to setup once you get the hang of it but it'd be nice to not have to manually configure and compile and all that.
wow dev - thats a lot of progress.
havent loaded it yet, but just wondering if anything was addressed for the smtp relay page - it doesnt allow relay without authentication. not a big deal, but as long as you are making the field, it may as well relay mail with/without auth - some of my ISPs still dont require auth.
timelines are subjective and often suicide...
Release is based on a formula of Downloads devided by bugs multiplied by the distance from the sun to the third moon of Venis assuming the moons are aligned in a 45 degree angle during the 15th anniversary of the last rain of the second Wednesday where the temperature was over 100 degrees in July 1993.
There is software that figures this out but you have to google...
Is there no simple upgrade path without an install from RC1 to RC3 without a fresh install?
If a fresh install is necessary, to help out those that are not fully up-to-speed on trixbox, could someone please post which boxes should be checked on the System/Backup setup to create exactly the right backup set so a restore can easily be done in the new release?

I am not sure why you would want to do this? It would seem reasonable to load the a stable version and then attempt an upgrade to the beta and post any bugs found. Why would you upgrade beta's?
Maybe I am missing something, it could introduce issues that not not actually bugs.

Here's a rephrase and additional details of the question:
I had a copy of 2.6.0.7 installed on a very old server just to see what trixbox was like. We decided to go with trixbox CE and ordered a new server for the permanent production machine. I decided to install 2.6.0.13 on it as this was not a live production server and full deployment was not planned until late July to give us time to learn and run trixbox in a simulated parallel mode with our current phone system.
My question was if 2.6.1.13 cannot be upgraded to 2.6.1.18 or the 2.6.1.x stable copy when it is released without doing a fresh install, what boxes in the backup utility need to be checked to ensure a proper backup that can be restored with a minimum of additional configuration on the new install?
Do you have a working config on the 2.6.1.13 machine?
You should be able to just upgrade it. My only concern was if it does not work to separate the upgrade issues from base bugs.
Since it is not a production system, and this is just my opinion, I would give it a try. Especially if you have extensions programmed, IVR's or complex dial plans you can test.
I am sure the trix folks will publish and upgrade guide, I would hope you could go all the way from any 2.6 to the the final 2.6.1.x release.

I just did a VMServer install of 2.6.0.18 and everything is working fine.
I am testing using Firefox's newest RC of 3 and the colors all seem washed out, On the server status window the text is in white and very hard to see, with IE they are in black.
Is this FF3?
I have also noticed this with my production system.
