Voicemail broken?

Kerry,

I installed this on a virtual machine and created two test extensions and am unable to set up voicemail or do anything related to voicemail. Have you guys seen that?

I have seen / heard this.

I am contantly builing VM machines, for testing and internal stuff. If you press *97/*98 you hear something like "ppppaaassswwoooooooord" completely distorted.

This is not a problem, if you leave yourself a voicemail, it will record and playback fine. If you re-record greetings and asterisk system prompts including the voice mail prompts, everthing works fine.

VM is not ready for production, This should only be used for testing, development, training, etc...

Regards, Lance.

install problems

Hi all,

I have downloaded and installed 2.6.0.21 on an IBM ThinkCentre 8289 with TDM400P (2xFXO) and have had a number of issues getting the server operational.

During the installation an error with setup-pstn appeared " error line 27 amportal command not found". The installation proceeded and when accessing the web interface the following errors were displayed.

I checked through the system some more and noticed that the contents of the /etc/asterisk directory seemed to be lacking a few files.

I tried downloading the iso from multiple sources with the same result. I then reverted to 2.6.0.19 and had similar issues.

This may be due to a corrupt download caused by my system rather than the iso itself but I have no way of checking.

Is there a possibility of posting the MD5 checksums so that the iso's can be verified?

Cheers.

Backup missing

The FreePBX backup and restore module will seriously dork things up right now so it is not available. We will have a version of the trixbox backup module that will work properly with the new changes this week.

Voicemail not working

Kerry, Any response to the others having issue with voicemail. I am getting the same thing. Do you have a quick fix. When calling a extension it just rings then hangs up instead of getting voicemail. When dialing *97/*98 entering password, pressing 0, then 1 for unavail greeting, or busy, or name. I can start recording but it just hangs up on me?
